Paul Roeder

I’m a German developer, designer and founder building AI apps in Africa.

I studied Interface Design at FH Potsdam and worked as a UX designer in Germany. My interest in AI and emerging markets led me to China and then to Kenya, where I’ve been based for the past 6 years.

My first app, Flashout, a youth influencer and referral app with over 500k users, promotes e-learning in Africa through viral campaigns and AI recommendations.

Currently, I’m building Relatable, an AI tool for online boutiques and fashion importers in Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. Relatable generates consistent model photos and is used by 4,500+ boutiques.

I love traveling, ultra running and baking.
